Rights of Members

22. Every Member of the Society shall have the following rights, subject to the provisions of the Act, Rules and these bye-laws:
(a) To receive a share certificate.
(b) To occupy the flat allotted to him.
(c) To inspect the books of accounts, registers and documents of the Society free of charge during office hours.
(d) To receive certified copies of such documents on payment of the prescribed charges.
(e) To attend and vote at General Body Meetings, subject to being an Active Member.
(f) To stand for election to the Committee, subject to fulfilling the eligibility conditions.
(g) To receive copies of the annual accounts, audit report and annual report.
(h) To exercise all such other rights as are provided under the Act, Rules and these bye-laws.
A Member who fails to attend at least one General Body Meeting during the preceding five consecutive years or fails to pay Society charges at least once during the preceding five consecutive years shall be treated as an Inactive Member and shall not be entitled to exercise the rights of an Active Member.
