Special Meeting of the Committee

(a) Upon a requisition made by not less than one-third of the Members of the Committee, the Secretary shall convene a Special Meeting of the Committee within a period of seven days from the date of receipt of such requisition.

(b) Such meeting shall be convened only for the purpose of considering the business specified in the requisition.

(c) If the Committee fails to hold at least one meeting in a calendar month as required under these Bye-laws, any Member of the Committee may make a written request to the Chairman to convene the meeting.

(d) In the event of failure by the Chairman to convene the meeting pursuant to a request made under sub-clause (3) within a period of seven days from the date of receipt of such request, the concerned Member may make an application to the Registrar.

(e) Upon receipt of such application, the Registrar may, after such inquiry as deemed necessary, issue appropriate directions and may:

(i) authorise the concerned Housing Federation of which the Society is affiliated to convene and conduct the meeting; or

(ii) appoint an authorised officer or person to convene and conduct such meeting.

(f) The expenses incurred for convening and conducting such meeting shall be borne by the Society.
