Notice of Resignation from Membership

27. (a) A Member desirous of resigning from the Membership of the Society shall give a notice in writing to the Secretary of the Society, as required under Rule 21(1) of the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Rules, 1961. (b) The resignation shall not be accepted unless the Member has cleared all the dues payable by him to the Society. (c) On receipt of the resignation notice, the Secretary shall, within 15 days, inform the Member in writing of the dues, if any, outstanding against him, and shall place the resignation before the next Committee meeting for consideration. (d) The Committee shall accept or reject the resignation within 3 months of receipt thereof. If no decision is taken within 3 months, the resignation shall be deemed to have been accepted.
