Resignation of Committee Member and Effective Date
(a) A Member of the Committee may resign from the Committee by submitting a written resignation addressed to the Chairman of the Society.
(b) The resignation shall be placed before the Committee for consideration.
(c) The resignation shall take effect from the date of its acceptance by the Committee or on the expiry of a period of thirty days from the date of receipt of such resignation by the Chairman or the Secretary of the Society, whichever is earlier, and such resignation shall be deemed to have been accepted upon expiry of the said period, notwithstanding that the Committee has not accepted or has rejected the same.
(d) The Member submitting resignation may withdraw the resignation at any time before its acceptance by the Committee or before the expiry of the said period of thirty days, whichever is earlier, by giving a written intimation to the Chairman or the Secretary of the Society.
(e) Upon such resignation becoming effective, the vacancy shall be treated as a casual vacancy and shall be filled in accordance with these Bye-laws.
