Disqualification from Standing for Election

117. A Member shall be disqualified from standing for election to the Committee or from continuing as a member of the Committee if he: (a) has been convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude within the preceding six years; (b) is a defaulter in payment of dues to the Society, having failed to pay the dues within three months of the service of a registered notice demanding payment; (c) is subject to any liability under Sections 79, 88 or 147 of the Act; (d) is an Associate Member who has not obtained a No-Objection Certificate and submitted an indemnity bond as required; (e) is not an Active Member of the Society; (f) has given his flat on leave and licence without the permission of the Society where required; (g) has transferred his shares in violation of these bye-laws.
