Registered 47 years ago, in 1979. The date a society joined the register is the single most useful thing on its record — it decides which model bye-laws it should be running on, and whether it belongs to the generation that still has conveyance outstanding.

Around this point most societies begin looking at structural audits, major repairs or redevelopment, and the decisions that follow — developer selection, member consent, conveyance status — are the ones that most often go wrong without advice.
